Common Name:  Great Grig

Latin Name:  Cyphoderris monstrosa Uhler, 1864
                        (D.L. Johnson, det.)

Length:  20 - 30 mm

Range: South-western edge of Alberta

Habitat:  Forested areas with Lodgepole Pine,
                 Mountian Hemlock and Englemann Spruce

Time of year seen:  June - August

Diet: Staminate cones
