Common Name:  Large Marble

Latin Name:  Euchloe ausonides Lucas, 1852
                        (N. Kondla, det.)

Length:   40 - 50 mm

Range: Alberta

Habitat: Aspen parkland and dry meadows in mixed and
open pine forests

Time of year seen: May to early August

Caterpillars Diet: Mustard family plants

Other:  A widespread species found from Alaska south to New Mexico and east to Ontario. It is our most common Marble.
