Common Name: Yellow Velvet Beetle, Flower Longhorn

Latin Name:  Lepturobosca chrysocoma (Kirby, 1837)
                        (R. Bercha, det.)

Length:  ~17 mm (not including antennae)

Range:  Alberta

Habitat:  Forested areas with flowers

Time of year seen:  Mid-summer (Additional Sightings)

Diet: Larvae tunnel galleries in wood
