Latin Name:  Malacosoma disstria Hubner, 1820
                        (R. Bercha, det.)

Wingspan:  35 - 45 mm

Range: Alberta

Habitat:  Open areas with grass - meadows, roadsides

Time of year seen: Mid-June to August

Caterpillar's Diet:  Trembling aspen, Manitoba Maple, Green Ash, White Birch, White Elm, Basswood and Bur Oak.
