Other: The White-dotted Prominent is a common widespread species found across North America, ranging from Florida to California and north into Canada.  In Alberta it is found predominantly in the Boreal Forest region as far north as Lake Athabasca and towards the Peace River.  It is less common in the Aspen Parkland areas.
Nadata gibbosa is a relatively large yellow-brown to rusty-orange moth, with distinct postmedian and antemedian lines.  It has a pair of circular small white spots near the top center of  each forewing. Male antennae have comb-like teeth on both sides (bipectinate) while the females have simple antennae. Its coloration and markings make it distinct from other Alberta moths.
